In Vítkovice in the Krkonoše Mountains there was a small complex of two ski jumps located in the centre of the village, on the eastern slope. The larger hill had parameters of P33, K42 and a wooden inrun, and its landing slope crossed a local stream. The smaller hill had parameters of P20, K29. The complex was operated by the Sokol Kapnar Vítkovice club, and the daily functioning of the facilities was overseen by the local teacher Kožíšek.
In the winter of 1955, the upper part of the landing slope and the wooden inrun tower of the larger hill collapsed under the weight of snow, which effectively ended the operation of both facilities – afterwards only natural take-off points in the area were used. According to contemporary listings, the larger hill had a K-point of 42 m, and the smaller one of 29 m. Ski jumping traditions, however, continued in Vítkovice: in 1968, teacher and coach Čestmír Kožíšek Sr. organised the first Czechoslovak children’s championships in ski jumping and Nordic combined here, on the hills he built himself, and among the best-known athletes raised by the local jumping school is the national team member Ladislav Divila.
