The ski jump was located on the south-eastern slope of Polevský vrch above the village of Polevsko in the Lusatian Mountains. It stood on the site of a former hermitage known as Poustevna. According to available sources, the hill was built in the 1930s, during a period of growing winter sports activity around Nový Bor and throughout the Liberec region. It was still in use shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War, as competitions in ski jumping were held there in 1938. These events are mentioned in local sources, which also note that photographs documenting them have survived, although they are now mostly stored in private or local collections and are not publicly accessible.
After the Second World War, the ski jump gradually disappeared and its structure did not survive. Only the shape of the slope remains visible, making it possible to identify the former inrun and landing hill. Modern tourist descriptions still refer to a “small ski jump” on the slope of Polevský vrch, but this now relates only to the remnants of the profile rather than a preserved facility. Today, the area is used primarily by the small Ski Polevsko resort and the local ski club, which maintains the region’s tradition of cross-country skiing.
