History:

The inaugural ski jumping competition on Roß-Schanze at Steinach am Brenner was held by Skiläufervereinigung Steinach on New Year's Day of 1930. The longest jump was made by Adi Putz from Innsbruck with 27.5 meters. In the following years, competitons were often held around Christmas holidays. In 1931-32, the ski jump at Roßbichl was converted. In February 1931, Walter Delle-Karth set (out of competition) a hill record of 32 meters. Presumably, the ski jumping hill was only used until World War II.
