History:

Wieniawa is a suburb of Lublin in which a ski jump was built up after World War II. The last competition on the 15 meter hill took place back in 1963, after that it was closed because of a command of the Polish ministry of defence.
In 2006 teenagers at Lublin restarted jumping on a small snow jumping hill called “Krokiewka”. In 2007 the visitors of Skokinarciarskie.pl voted it as the nicest Polish amateur ski jumping hill, afterwards the ski jump was converted in 2007, 2009 and 2010. The local ski jumpers even had the opportunity to go other towns for training (also on professional ski jumps like the junior hills of Zakopane) and organized East-Polish amateur championships. Now the construction of a new K30 is planned, but this would require an authorization by the city authorities.
The hill was generally converted in 2010 with help from local companies. Ground works began in July, in October und November the wooden parts were constructed. The hill is now safer and looks more professional. The young amateur jumpers want to officially create a sport association. During the works, among others the following was used: 9,4 cubic meters wood, 50 kg of nails and screws, 100 liters paint, 6,8 square meters of artificial grass, 7 liters petrol, 155 cakes, 48 liters juice, 16 liters tea.
On 29th January 2011 the Second East Polish Amateur Championships were organised. The winner was Maksymilian Furtak with jumps of 13, 14 and 14 meters. Since then the hill became quite known and the media have reported about the project.
Right after the first season of the new Krokiewka bad news came: the owners of the area wanted to sell it and so the hill had to be torn down. Luckily the amateur jumpers weren't abandoned. City authorities offered them new lots and so even though the hill was deconstructed in early April, it will probably be rebuilt in a new place before the next winter season.
