History:
At Bavallen, a ski jumping center at Voss, there were already many ski jumping hills. On one of the antecessors of today’s HS 100 jump World Champion Toralf Engan even jumped 103.5 m in 1962. Still today national competitions such as Norges Cup are hosted on Bavallsbakken, but also the Norwegian Championships were organized there already three times (1955, 1964 and 1967).
Further important ski jumps in and around Voss are Nyestølsbakken at Myrkdalen, Tunåsen at Bulken and Framnesbakken at Oppheim.
