History:

At Asker, a city with 50,000 inhabitants with large suburban communities, there have been ski jumping activities already since 1889 on several hills.
In the district Holmen the homonymous ski jumping facility is located, which ski jumping routes lead back until 1923. The large K59 ski jump was built up with a new tower in 1959 and was converted several times. From 1967 on the other smaller natural ski jumping hills were constructed one after another, last ones were K12 and K8 in 1986.
Since middle 1990’s the largest hill, which was one of the most popular of whole Norway in 1960’s and 70’s, can no longer be used and despite the very good education of young jumpers in the ski club – Tom Hilde from Asker joined the Norwegian national team in 2006 – it is still questionable whether it will be rebuilt or not. But nevertheless the other five ski hill are regularly used by the up-coming young ski jumpers of Asker SK
