History:

Mt. Daisen with Goenzan Ski Resort is located in the Japanese prefecture Tottori and there Japan’s most south-western ski jumping facility is situated. Despite of the southern location this area is well-known for its snow security.
For the 27th National Winter Sports Festival in 1972 a 70 meter ski jumping hill was set up in 1969 on which Yukio Kasaya then jumped 87 meters. The two smaller ski jumps K50 and K30 were added in 1981 and in 1991 the large jump was converted into a K85. During 48th winter festival which was organized at Daisen in 1993, Kazuyoshi Funaki jumped on 88.5 meters.
