History:

In 1920's the construction of a wintersports area at Kullaanvuori in Nokia near Tampere had started. The first ski jumping hill followed in 1932 and in 1934 and 1943 even Finnish Championships were hosted there.
The ski jumpers of the two clubs Nokian Urheilijat and Nokian Pyry were among the best of Finland in 1950's, but then the ski jumping facility disappeared due to the construction of a reservoir for a hydroelectric power plant in 1971.
