For the Olympic Winter games 2014 in Canadian Vancouver at Whistler a Nordic centre was constructed, which also includes the Olympic ski jumping hills K125 and K98. Already in March 2008 the very first competitions will be hosted.

In April 2007 the old ski jump K115 from 1950’s was demolished and instead the construction of a new futuristic K125 started. Already in time for the New Year’s competition in 2008 the new ski jump was completed. Until June 2008 final “beauty works” were done on the new hill.

Complete conversion of the ski jumping facility into five plastic covered hills K90, K50, K35, K20 and K10. In September 2007 the landing slope of K90 was swapped away through heavy rain falls, but the three smaller hills were completed in 2008 and inaugurated on August 23/24. The future of the larger hills is not certain yet.

Sochi on the Black Sea won the bidding for the hosting of Olympic Winter Games 2014 in July 2007. Therefore in the mountain cluster Krasnaya Polyana at Caucasus a Nordic Skiing Centre with ski jumps K120, K90, K60, K40 and K10 will be constructed.

In the area of Kuusamo and Rovaniemi a Finnish ski jumping centre shall be developed and additionally the first ski flying hill of Finland shall build at Kemijärvi (Suomo HS 200). There are not concrete plans yet and a decision of Finish Ski Association for one of the two ski flying projects hasn’t been made yet.

In Northern Finland plans fort he construction of an over-roofed ski flying hill are existing. The inruns of both ski jumps K185 and K120 shall be running through tunnels inside the mountain and then jumpers will pass below a transparent over-roofing. The realization and financing of the hole project is not very sure.
