THE TOWER

The foundation platform measures 16 by 20 meters. The upper three lower floors contain technical equipment, storage and staff offices and the entrance level. the visitors elevator reaches the terrace level at about 43.5 meters.

THE TOWER HEAD

The three floor steel constructed tower head with restaurant, panorama platform and rescue area reaches up to 12 meters beyond the tower shaft.

THE IN-RUN

In the first design of the project it was planned to support the 4 fielded in-run with three pillars. The final construction was executed without pillar support. The solution was the construction of the “fish belly”. 68.5 meters steel and steel wire with an inclination of up to 35 degrees. It actually removes the stress from the in-run itself.

Innsbruck:

.... the Alpine town is a living treasure house of history and culture. There is more than one reason for coming to Innsbruck. In fact, there’s a multitude of them. Twice host to the Winter Olympics, it is a cultural center which has taken 800 years to evolve. A town of art treasures, including the famous Golden Roof, the “Black Knights”, the Imperial Palace and Ambras Castle. Big town shopping opportunities coupled with a great range of hiking. Brass band concerts and Baroque operas. Lederhosen and dinner jackets.

A Great Summer. A Great Place. Innsbruck has the reputation of an Olympic city to uphold. Nowhere else in the world you can take advantage of such a versatile mountain hiking program – and on top of that for free. If you prefer to hold onto the ball, explore the numerous tennis courts, set in picturesque locations, or the 27 demanding holes for passionate golfers. And if you think the winter is never long enough, go for summer skiing on the nearby Stubai Glacier Ski Resort.

Winter Wonderland. Innsbruck is surrounded by the premier six ski areas of the Olympic Ski World. Each of these areas means ‘outstanding skiing’, offering a great variety in terms of altitude, ambiance and scenery. The naturally divided terrains assure that any type of skier will have a truly enjoyable experience. Deep blue skies, sunshine in abundance, powder stashes and spring skiing – Innsbruck has it all in profusion.
