History:

Already in 1926 Albert Bildstein founded the "Skizunft Velden" and first ski jumping competitions were organized in the following winter on a hill named after him. In early 1930's the first Marienhofschanze was constructed and used until World War II.
In 1984 the ski jump was reconstructed as a K60 with a steel-made inrun tower, beside a smaller jump was set up. Only a bit more than 10 years later the tower was dilapidated and then renovated by SZ Velden in 1998/99 for around 200,000 Schilling.
Meanwhile these ski jumping hills are out of order again, instead smaller Hugo-Schwarz-Schanze is prepared from time to time.
