Lyndon Outing Club in 1947 moved to Shonya Hill and built there a 25-meter ski jump, which was later enlarged to a 45-meter hill. In 1972, the facility was bought by the city of Lyndon, renamed as Shonyo Park and the former ski jump was replaced by infrastructure for alpine skiing.
