History:

There had been several temporal ski jumping hills in the Californian metroplois of Los Angeles from 1930's to 1960's.

In September 1951 the largest ever built artificial ski jumping hill was built up at the country fair in Pomona (50 km east of L.A.). The takeoff was levelled nearly 70 meters above ground, the outrun was 150 meters of complete length. Also in 1960 another artificial jump was constructed there again, this time ski jumpers were making competitions for 17 days long, before the jump was removed.
