History:

The jump in the Ukrainian capital Kiev is located in a park next to the Olympic Stadium (Matches of the Olympic Football tournament took place there during the XXII Olympics im Moscow 1980).
But the most special with this jump is its inrun tower which stands free and is just held by small cables – a worldwide unique construction.
Unfortunately, the hill used to be an example of the Soviet recklessness in economy and technics, because bridges with a similar construction can be used for a long time, the Kiev hill was in a dangerous condition 25 years after the last big modernisation. Therefore this unique facility has been torn down in the summer of 2003. However, the general economic situation of Ukraine is slowly getting better and so is a possible reconstruction of the hill being planned.
