History:

The ski jump at Källviken was constructed in a hastly manner for the Swedish Ski Championships in 1947. For Nordic Ski WSC at Falun in 1954 it was improved and enlarged. Word Champion became Finland’s Matti Pietikäinen with the longest jump of 78 meters. The very last large competition on Källviksbacken were the Swedish Ski Games in 1969. For the WSC in 1974 a new ski jumping facility was built at Lugnet. On the day it was completed in 1972, Källviksbacken was torn down to make space for the construction of an alpine skiing facility.
