History:

Already since 1910 there was ski jumping in Wildhaus. Until 1950 there were different temporary existing ski jumping hills in several locations, for example at Schönenboden, Sieberen, Stalden and in the 1960’s in Hinterschwendi.
Only in 1977 the long attended ski jumping hill Kollersweid in the village Munzenriet was opened. The project was surely influenced by the results of the world class jumper at that time Walter Steiner from Wildhaus, who was ski flying world champion in 1977.
In 2003 a further K15 ski jumping hill with plastic covering was built for the juniors.
Most successful ski jumper from Wildhaus was Walter Steiner who became Ski Flying world champion in 1972 and 1977 and who's name the 40 meter hill is now carrying.
