History:

After the founding of the SC Adelboden in the year 1903 and the first demonstration events with jumps up to 20 meters, Adelboden had been called the “ski jumping village” of Switzerland for a long time and provided many Swiss champions, just like world record holder Fritz Tschannen.
From 1932 onwards Lohner-Schanze at the foot of Gross Lohner had been used. But since the 1950’s the alpine skiing has been dominating as the World Cup taking place every year shows.
