History:

At Geretswil, a small settlement near Hofstetten in Elgg municipality, a plastic covered junior hill was opened at the foot of Schauenberg with its castle ruin in October 1986. It was funded and maintained by a private syndicate around Walter Hofmann, Noldi Migliarina and Jakob Küng. The ski jump was well frequented also by young ski jumpers from other towns of Zurich Uplands without summer ski jumps, such as Hinwil and even Horw. Every other year, international youth competitions with participants from Switzerland, Austria and Germany were held. In 1985, the ski jump was deconstructed and re-used for the construction of Panoramaschanzen at Gibswil.
