History:
Already in 1930's the first ski jumping hill at Gurten in Bern was constructed and used until 1979.
Due to snow-lacking winters the VBTS (Verein Bernischer Trockensprungschanzen) decided to new-construct the facilities for summer use. Finally the new ski jumping hills K40 and K20 could be inaugurated with an international competition in summer 1987. Since then three competitions for the "Gurten Cup" are hosted annually and advanced training for young jumpers.
Due to declining interest in ski jumping the hills which would have needed a modernisation, were dismantled in 2013. Last competition organized by SC-STB was Gurten-Cup in July 2012. Instead a summer toboggan ride will be build in summer 2014 and the ski jumping club of Bern will be disintegrated.

Hallo Zusammen
ich bin Flurina und suche die Herausforderung. Im Winter liebe ich nichts mehr als Skisprung und Iglu zu bauen.
Als Bernerin war es schon immer mein Traum auf derm Gurten die Schanze zu testen.
Ich liebe den Adrealinkick beim Skispringen.
Ist es möglich, die Bahn zu testen? Ich habe mein Manager Zeitstoper Sam dabei.
Ich freue mich, über eine balfige Rückmeldung.

Wyburzenie skoczni
W miniony weekend oddano ostatnie skoki na tych skoczniach. Na ich miejsce ma powstać tor saneczkowy. Wielka szkoda, bo to dosyć charakterystyczne obiekty.
