History:

In the recent past, the Murmansk region was considered one of the centres for the development of jumping sports in Russia. There were several good ski jumping centres in the region, but their condition gradually deteriorated and today there is not a single ski jump suitable for training.
Not far from the facilities at Lake Okuniewo, directly in the administrative centre of the Murmansk region, there was a complex consisting of three ski jumping hills with sizes from 20 to 55 metres. Mainly local athletes, also from children's school, trained on them and intra-Russian competitions were organised. But over the years the ski jumping facilities fell into disrepair and in the early 1990s sports activities there stopped.
