History:

Magadan is located in the far east of Russia at the Sea of Okhotsk. Since 2002 every April a night competition has been hosted on the 1981/82 constructed ski jump, in which also the best Russian jumpers take part as a grand final of the season. The “Osvsm Magadan” is home club of many international jumpers as for example Dmitry Ipatov.
In the next years the “Solar” ski jumping centre shall be further enlarged. End of March 2012 it was decided on 14.9m Rubels (about 390k Euro) of funding for the construction of a K95 normal hill.

New jump

The new jump will be located at the banks of Nagaeva bay, not near the current "Solar" complex. Planning of the jump has started and construction of a modern K95 shall be finished by 2012, according to Russian newspapers.
