History:
In the area of the village Golyansky (nowadays district Ippodromny, administrative district: Pervomaysky) in Izhevsk the construction of the first ski jumping hill in Udmurtia was finished in 1949. The inrun length was 50 metres. Near the facility there was also the stadium of the local club Metallurg with stands and changing rooms. In the 1950s one of the jumpers was most probably Y.K. Chigvintsev - later Russian diplomat, consul of Russia in Mongolia.
In 1984 it was decided to demolish the facility due to its dilapidated condition. The last director was Yuri Shirobokov. Metallurg Stadium also no longer exists today.
