History:

The first ski jumping hill at Poiana, around 10 km south-west of Brașov, already existed in mid-1920's. Already enlarged once in 1930's, the hill was reconstructed as a 60 meter hill after World War II. In 1951 an international student competition was held there, which was won by Pauli Vainio from Finland. Later the ski club Dinamo from Brașov took over operations and maintenance of the hill. Romanian championships and international competitions were held there. Since the wooden inrun tower became ramshackle, operations on the ski jumping hill were likely stopped in 1970's.
