In the north of Warsaw, in Bielany Forest, ski jumping took place already before World War II. After the war students of the nearby Academy of Physical Education (among them the later Polish national ski jumping team coach, Tadeusz Kołder) and amateur skiers used two objects of similar size, allowing for jumps over 10 meters. A remnant of one of them is a small knoll, which was part of the inrun.
