Thanks to the efforts of Eugeniusz Wawak, the manager of the ski section at the LKS Zapora club, in the 1950s, a ski jumping hill designed by Henryk Grzybowski was built in Porąbka, with an impressive stone take-off. After some time, the use of this hill was discontinued due to the fact that the outrun was located in private allotments.
