History:
In 1950, at the initiative of the ski section of the ZKS "Górnik" club (including Adam Fickowski, the father of Wojciech Fickowski, the later president of the Sokół Szczyrk club), the no longer existing ski jumping hill on Góra Świętej Doroty ("Dorotka") in Grodziec (from 1975 within Będzin) were built. Materials for the construction of the facility were made available to the club by the "Grodziec" mine. The first competition took place in February 1951, and it was won by Tadeusz Moszant from the Kolejarz Sosnowiec club - he jumped 25 meters.
