The ski jumping hill on the northern slope of Palenica was established in 1949. In the years 1956-58, it was rebuilt according to the design of engineer Jerzy Muniak. There were jumps of up to 50 meters in length, although there is (questionable) information about the alleged record of 65 meters. The hill was eagerly used to host competitions at the local level. The facility ceased to be used in the 1970s.
