History:

On the wave of interest in skiing caused by the success of Antoni Łaciak in the world championships in 1962 (silver medal on the normal hill), in the 1962/63 season in Koniówka, on the initiative of Wojciech Fiedor, the club LZS Tatry was established. His first competitors were training cross-country skiing. A season later Fiedor decided to extend the training offer with jumping, for which the right object was needed. The works were carried out at a fast pace, on the border of Podczerwone and Koniówka villages (in the area called Daremnica) a hill was built with a huge wooden structure of an inrun tower, which required considerable skill. In the first competition, Wojciech Skorusa won against the later Polish champion in nordic combined, Kazimierz Długopolski. After several seasons, due to safety reasons, the hill was taken out of use. In the mid-1970s, it was demolished by the land owner. At present, it is possible to recognize the shape of the landing slope.
