The first ski jump at Połom hill was operating before II World War but no more info about it is still available. After the war, local youngsters were jumping on small, temporary ski jumps which allowed to jump just a few meters each on their old, used skies.
In 1963 students of the vocational school in Wojcieszów ("Szkoła Zawodowa"), who were training in Orzeł Wojcieszów club, built 3 wooden ski jumps - K28, K12 and K7. In 1964, it hosted first "Kaczawskie Mountains Cup" ("Puchar Gór Kaczawskich"). Ski jumping was active in Wojcieszów until one of the young athletes hit equipment to transport stones from a quarry located at the top of Połom hill during his jump. In 1980s the former take-off and remains of the inrun were still visible at the place, but now there are no visible relicts anymore.

Kitzelberg
Wenn der Betrieb schon vor 1945 auf dem "Połom" stattfand, dann auf dem "Kitzelberg" in Kauffung (polnisch Wojcieszów)
