History:

In the 1920s, the local Winter Sport Association in Sobieszów (at that time Hermsdorf unterm Kynast in Germany, now a district of Jelenia Góra) built a ski jumping hill on Mount Chojnik. After the Second World War, Polish youth used the hill, including Julian Gozdowski, later initiator of the famous ski marathon "Bieg Piastów". In 1959, the hill was rebuilt, which was supervised by coach Stanisław Raźniewski. However, Interest in ski jumping, began to decrease and after several seasons the ski jump ceased to be used.

Wohl irreführend übersetzt

Die "Chojnika Towarzystwo Sportów Zimowych" kann mit der Wintersportvereinigung Kynast nicht identisch sein, denn 1945 galten alle deutschen Vereine durch die polnischen Behörden als zwangsaufgelöst. Allenfalls kann vielleicht ein findiger von der Vertreibung irgendwie verschonter mit einer zufälligen identischen Übersetzung ins Polnische für sich eine Kontinuität geschaffen haben. Ich gehe eher davon aus, dass in der polnischen Quelle suggestiv mit gleichem Namen in Deutsch und Polnisch operiert wird um den völligen Bruch von 1945 zu kaschieren.
