History:
In 1974 in Miłków near Karpacz a ski jumping hill with the K-point situated at 40 meters was built. Shortly afterwards it was enlarged to K55. Apart from the "Orlinek", "Karpatka" and "Bobo" ski-jumps in Karpacz, this object was an element of the annual training base for local jumpers. By the end of the 1980s, the use of the "Strzelec" hill was discontinued, after which the inrun was demolished.
In 1978 Sławomir Idziak, many years later nominated for the Academy Award as cameraman of "Black Hawk Dawn", directed the movie "Nauka latania" ("Learning to Fly"), in which "Strzelec" ski-jump was one of the main places of action. Interestingly, the film was set not in Miłków, but in Rajcza, where ski jumps also actually existed.
