History:

Hovin already had a ski jumping hill in the 1950's, the so-called Dåretbakken.
In 1968, there were first plans for the construction of ski jumping hills at Brustukollen, which is also known as Hovinløkken among locals. Eventually, the construction had to be delayed after a landslide. So, the hills were ready to use only before the winter 1975/76.
In the 1980's, there were some modernizations on the facility, which has been closed and demolished in the meantime.
