History:

Morgedal in Kviteseid community is the hometown of Norwegian skiing pioneer Sondre Norheim. Already from 1866 onwards there were first ski jumping activities in the area and in 1887 the local ski club was founded.
In 1950's the ski jumping facility was reconstructed, but is now again closed already. But there are still ski jumping activities on Hauglandsbakken K40 and K20.
