Drangedal was once a ski jumping center in the Telemark province. The Langmyrheia 64-meter ski jump was probably built near Drangedal after the Second World War. In the 1950s, Petter Hugsted held the hill record with 61 meters. Later this was improved by local hero Gudtorm Heldal to 64 m. Furthermore, during the 1960s jumpers such as Yggeseth and Wirkola competed there.
