The first ski jumping activities at Bingegga took place back in the 1930's. Until 1960, Os IL even had a bigger ski jump with Flygelen. After its closing in 1960, Bingegga was the only ski jumping facility the club had. It was enlarged and improved in 1969. The gap in the knoll was closed, the inrun with a complete rebuilding of the tower lowered and also floodlights were installed.
However, the reconstruction did not change the fact that the ski jump still was too small for the older jumpers. Because of that, they left the club to jump on other, bigger hills. Still, the club had a national champion in Nordic Combined with Arild Smedås in 1977.
