History:

In 1949 and 1950, the first important steps for the construction of the ski jumping hills at Frysjøberget were made. The local teacher O. J. Løvberg and his boss Olaf Sæther were looking for a suitable location and found it in the forest. It took two years of negotiations, until the landowner Lars Hansen gave them the ground and finally the works could start.
In 1968, the contract was extended for another 40 years, so that more improvements on the facility could be made. In 1970, the largest hill received a new inrun tower and also floodlights were installed. The costs for this project were 30,000 Norwegian Crowns (ca. 2.800 Euro) and were paid by federal support of 9.000 (ca. 840), municipal support of 10.400 (ca. 970) and a gift of Grue Sparebank of 5.000 NOK (ca. 465 Euro).
The location offers stable snow and calm wind conditions, but unfortunately the facility is out of use for several years already.
