History:

Hamarbakken, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century, was not only the first ski jumping hill at Furuberget, but even the first one in town. It was also the venue of the first competitions, which included 188 athletes and also 1,500 spectators.
Furubergbakken was built by the ski section of Hamar IL, led by Kristian P. Dahlseng. It was also the venue of the well-known Hovedlandsrennet in 1931. The hill record was set by Kåre Walberg, who not only came from Hamar, but also became world champion in Oberstdorf the same year.
