Flågenbakken was originally built in 1937 and underwent many minor improvements throughout the years. The two bigger conversions, which took place in 1965 and 1968, included profile adaptions and enlargements. During the final one, also floodlights were installed, so that the hill could also be used after the sun went down. The final hill record was sent by Bent Tomtum, who took it over from the well-known Arnfinn Bergmann. More famous jumpers, that appeared on the popular hill were Bjørn Wirkola, Lars Grini and Kåre Berg. In the meantime, the area has completely overgrown.
