The ski jumps in northern Østerdalen at Alvdal/Steimoegga have long-lasting tradition and are frequently used. The last conversion of Sandegga took place back in 1996-1997, when the old inrun tower was replaced and K20 constructed. The Sandeggbakken was once in early years of 20th century one of the first ski jumps on which distances over 40 meters were jumped. Every year in March the largest junior competition for 12 to 15 aged youngsters is hosted on Sandegga, the “Solan Gundersens Vinterleker”.
