History:
Strømmen og Lillestrøm Skiklubb was founded in 1916 and only two years later still during World War I the construction of Stormyrbakken at Rælingen had started. During the inaugural competition on 1919-01-19 distances up to 19 meters were reached.
After a smaller conversion in 1946 the hill record could be improved on 38 meters. In 1951 another modernization of the ski jumping hill took place and afterwards distances over 60 meters could be jumped. For the 50th club anniversary in 1966 the hill was reactivated. The last competition on Stormyrbakken was held in 1967, then necessary maintenance works could not be carried out anymore and the hill was given up.
