History:

The plans for the construction of Drafnkollen were already made in 1936 by Heiss-Schøyen, nearly 3 years later the opening competition of the about 100,000 crones expensive jump was held on New Year’s Day 1939. At the place near Oslo many competitions took place, which were, as the photo of an event in the year of 1956 shows, real ski jumping celebrations.
After the last competition in 1965 the inrun tower was damaged through heavy snow falls in 1966 and finally removed in 1970. Today there is the football ground of SBK Drafn at this location.
