History:

At Asker, a city with 50,000 inhabitants with large suburban comuni­ties, there have been ski jumping activities already since 1889 on several hills.
At first Herklibakken at Semsvik was used for ski jumping, later Fjelkenbakken at Skaugum was inaugurated in 1892.
