History:

Since July 2006 at PyeongChang a gigantic one billion Euro expensive recreation and winter sports centre called “Alpensia” had been in construction. Originally the facility situated on 700 meters was planned for the Olympic Winter Games in 2014, but then in July 2007 they were given to Sochi. Nevertheless the works on the ski jumping facility with five plastic covered hills K125, K98, K60, K35 and K15 continue and in September 2009 the 50m Euro expensive ski jumping facility was inaugurated with a Continentalcup competition. Internationally, the ski jumps are not really used frequently, since there have been not many FIS competitions. In 2011, PyeongChang won the voting for hosting the Olympic Winter Gamers (in their third attempt), for 2018. In the same year (2011), the second COC weekend took place here and five years later the first FIS Cup for men. The scheduled FIS Cup for women was cancelled earlier the year. In February 2017, the test events for the Olympic Games 2018 were held. One of the large hill events for the men had to be moved to the normal hill - on which also the women were jumping - due to heavy wind. One of the special aspects about the facility are inrun and spectators' stands. These are used by the Korean First League football team Gangwon FC for home matches. Secondly, the whole facility is surrounded by a huge wind protection construction - otherwise it would not be possible to jump without any wind risks most of the time. By night, the tower between the inruns looks like an ufo, which guarantees spectacular footages during the Olympic Winter Games 2018.

"The Norwegian jumper nailed the longest jump of 111 meters on her second attempt Sunday but lost her balance on landing and skidded to the wall at the side of the landing area."

It was just on landing, so it would count as "fall" during Qualifying or Competition. But she stood 110 m the next day anyway...

Yes, I know, but in TV they showed the fall and in other media it was also commented. It might be after the "counting zone", but I'm still not sure. So I asked, if anybody have seen it and maybe stored it and might upload it to YT...

Ernsthaft, hat es jemand mehr als einmal gesehen? Ich bin nicht sicher, ob der Sturz erst nach der normalen Bewertungszone erfolgte, dann sollte er ja zählen, aber, wenn in dieser Zone, dann wohl eher nicht.
