History:

Since the completing of the ski jump at Zao near Yamagata there have been annual ski jumping festivals every winter. Since 2000 regularly Continental-Cup competitions have taken place every March on the normal hill. Also Ladies COC has been hosted there since 2005. A hill record of 102.5 m was set up in 2003 at a COC competition by Akira Higashi. Only in March 2011 it was improved on 103.5 m by Norway's Robert Johansson during a FIS-Cup event.

Skoro rekord wpisane to wypada też zrobić poprawkę w opisie skoczni, gdzie jest uwzględniony stary rekord Higashi'ego.
