History:

The Ski-Club Sohland an der Spree was founded in 1928 and has already operated a number of ski jumps during its long history. To replace "Schanze der Freundschaft" at Schwarzen Koppe, in 1969 the construction of the first ski jumping hill at Tännicht had started. In 1972 the plastic covered K27.5 ski jump was completed and in 1975 a K12 was added to the "Skisportzentrum Tännichtschanze".
The Tännicht ski jumping facility was modernizied in 2016 and re-opened on 2016-10-16. The K28-Tännichtschanze was re-constructed and covered with new plastic mattings, and the former K12 was replaced by a K14 summer hill, as well as a new K5 mini ski jump. Most successful athlete from SC Sohland is Jenny Nowak, who became nordic combined junior world champion in 2020.
