History:
Besides Weinbergschanze, there was also the 1950-constructed Wilzschhausschanze, or also called “Schanze der Jugend”, at Wilzschhaus, a town district near Schönheide. It had a wooden inrun tower, but plastic covering and floodlights were lacking. It was used for ski jumping activities until 1965. The last hill record of 50 meters was set up by local hero Gottfried Tuchscherer of SV Einheit Schönheide.
