History:

On 1937-01-31 at Marienberg the Galgenbergschanze was inaugurated. It had a wooden inrun tower. In middle 1960's the ski jumping hill was given up, since ski jumping activities moved moreover to the villages of Gebirge and Pobershau. Today the jump is only hardly recognizable, since it was buried during the construction of a water pipeline.
