History:

At Saxonian Lichtenberg in 1973 the Buchbergschanze was inaugurated by pioneers. The 25 meter natural hill only had a small inrun construction and even was covered with plastic mattings. But then in 1992 ski jumping activities stopped and today the still good conserved take-off, as well as the inrun, are located on a private ground

Der Namenseintrag als Schanze ist falsch, richtig muß es lauten, BURGBERGSCHANZE der PIONIERE , vom nahe gelegenen Burgberg mit 621 m höhe ,der Gipfel auch ein schönes Wanderziel.
