History:

After one and a half years of construction on 2nd Christmas holiday 1952 the opening jump of the junior ski jump at the Hirschlecke followed. In this ceremony speech mayor Ewlad Hennig put a stress on the fact that the district of Klingenthal which was built in summer has the status of a centre region for the development of skiing sports. The first jump was made by Albrecht Meinel who became youth champion with his team of the DRG in Oberhof only few weeks later. There all local jumpers of the DRG team had started.
In performance class 1 Erich Röder (Aufbau West Klingenthal) won with 222.5 Points in front of Harry Glaß (SV Wismut) with 221 and Herbert Leonhardt (Aufbau West) who scored 210.3.
The final event of the opening ceremony was double jump made by Gerhard Meinel and Manfred Meinhold (Aufbau Klingenthal Ost).
The last competition at Hirschleck jumps was on October 9th, 1999 and in 2003 the jumps were closed.
