History:

Since the glorious large Aschbergschanze has no more been used, there has been no large hill in Klingenthal and that’s why people started thinking about a reconstruction of the “Großen Asch” in 2000. This efforts were soon given up and now at Schwarzberg in Brunndöbra – a village of Klingenthal – one of the most modern jumps of the world was built up for 14 Mio. €.
In autumn 2005 the new skiing arena with 30,000 seats has been made ready to jump and Björn Kircheisen landed the first jump at 128 m. The first official competition on the new jump was a Nordic combined World Cup “B” in early 2006. Since then numerous international competitions have been hosted annually on HS 140 and also for training the hill is very popular. But Vogtland-Arena does not only serve as a ski jumping hill, cultural events and concerts also take place there, too.
In April 2019, a major administrative decision for improving the conditions in the Vogtland Arena, has been made: The Free State of Saxony handed out a 1.5 million Euros check to the mayor of Klingenthal in order to install a permanent wind screen at the porch of the hill. This installation shall improve the security for the athletes on the hill and help avoiding incidents as during the Summer Grand Prix 2018 final, where both competitions had to be cancelled due to heavy wind. The total costs of this project are 1.8 million Euros. The other 300,000 Euros will be funded by VSC Klingenthal.

Again Elena

http://www.skokipolska.pl/elena-runggaldier/
Does anybody know, if this is either a lie or a sensation? It would be the longest jump of a woman on a large hill, but is it just a claim or truth?

Elena 150 m

At skokipolska an inofficial record of Elena Runggaldier with 150 m is noted. Is there a chance to confirm this claim? What day, maybe witnesses... In my table I also include inofficial personal records, but only if it can be confirmed somehow. Greetings, Eberhard

Marius 149,5

Again, did he stand the jump? If so, it is a new (probably inofficial) record... :-)

Summer World Record?

147.0 m - Vegard Haukø Sklett (NOR) - 2011

Is that a summer world record, a longest jump on plastic mate in history?

Tobias Simon - 146 m

Today Tobias Simon jumped 146 m on this hill, only 0,5 m shorter that Uhrmann's hill record.
